"Russian violonist Artion Shishkov, laureate of the Brahms Competition 2006 (2nd place) has my special admiration. I recommended him at the winter festival "Le Sommets Musicaux de G’staad" and he and his accompanyist, Dasha Moroz, played a Recital in the series "Violin At Four" .The audience was enthusiastic. Especially one elderly lady – emerita professor of the "School of Music Bern" – asked Thierry Scherz, the director of the festival, how much these young artists were paid for their performance. When she got the answer,
she spontaneously said: 'I am going to double this amount' and she was true to her word. Naturally, Artiom and Dasha were happy and very grateful. In June, Artiom is going to participate in the Tschaikowsky Competition in
Moscow – we keep our fingers crossed for him."
